Chief Master Sgt. Sevin Balkuvvar


CMSgt Sevin Balkuvvar is the Command Chief Master Sergeant, Peterson-Schriever Garrison, headquartered at Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado. She leads the enlisted force and is the principal advisor to the garrison commander and senior leadership team on all matters impacting the combat readiness, welfare, morale, proper utilization and progress of assigned personnel.  The Peterson-Schriever Garrison includes a 3,000 member team providing Base Operating Support to more than 18,400 military, Department of Defense civilians and contractor personnel serving at 22 operating locations worldwide executing critical United States Space Force missile warning; space domain awareness; space control; position, navigation and timing; satellite communications; electronic warfare; intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance; and cyberspace missions.

Chief Balkuvvar was born in Istanbul, Turkey. She entered the Air Force in April 2002. Upon completion of basic military training, she attended technical school at Lackland AFB, Texas in preparation for duties as a Supply Management Specialist.  Throughout her career, she has performed many diverse leadership roles supporting F-16, F-22, F-35, C-5, C-17, C-130, MQ-1, MQ-9, and HH-60 weapon system platforms.  In addition, Chief Balkuvvar spent five years in a special duty assignment as a First Sergeant.  She was one of the commander’s key advisors in ensuring a mission-ready force by thorough leadership and management of over 1400 members.

Chief Balkuvvar has deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom, Combined Joint Task Force Horn of Africa, Operation New Dawn and finally, Operations Inherent Resolve, Freedom’s Sentinel, and Spartan Shield.
