Air Force Aid
Air Force Aid Society emergency assistance is available to Airmen and their eligible family members to meet immediate needs in an emergency situation. The Society provides interest free loans and grants based on the individual situation.
Personal Financial Management
Provides financial education, information and counseling that equips service members to address their current personal financial situations, maximize their financial resources and effectively handle any financial challenges that may arise throughout their military life-cycle.
Supports military, civilians and family members in achieving short- and long-term employment, by referring for education/training and portable careers in the private and public sectors. Services also include resources for self-employment, small business and entrepreneurial efforts, local labor market information, skills development workshops, and other on- and off-base resources.
Personal & Work Life
P&WL services enrich and improve the quality of individual and family life by providing the knowledge and skills needed for effective living. It will also ease adaptation to the military lifestyle to better meet the needs of our expeditionary Airmen and families. P&WL services facilitate the empowerment of Airmen and families to increase the effectiveness of their skills in daily living, in relating to others, in coping with life events, and in realizing personal potential.
Designed to provide information, education, and assistance to the military member, their families, and base leadership during times of separation and deployment, crisis response, and family evacuations. These efforts are aimed at preparing the military member and their families to be prepared for all facets of military life.
Provides assistance, counseling sponsorship training, and education throughout all the phases of the relocation process.
Helps separating and retiring military members and their families make informed decisions and a smooth transition from military service to civilian life.
Collaborates with agencies and organizations on- and off-base to provide a wide range of volunteer opportunities.
This free service provides common household items during PCS moves either inbound or outbound.
Military Child Education
Provides military and their families’ information and referrals regarding local schools districts and other educational options including homeschooling, private schools, charter schools and cyber schools.
Provides referral services on available resources required to meet family members needs.
A Spouse Orientation Program that provides introduction to the Air Force and Schriever SFB.
Key Spouse Program
Key Spouses inform, support and refer family members to the appropriate base agencies. It is a partnership between the Key Spouse, organizational leadership and the Airman & Family Readiness Center.
This room is a great resource area with informational handouts, books, and DVDs, that can be checked out to assist in transition, job search, relocation, family life issues and financial topics. It is also a great place to sit and relax during class or workshop breaks.
Individual appointments are available for any of the services provided.
