Health Promotions Office to close

The Health Promotions Office will be closed until Friday for mandatory training. It is now located in the T-135 portable next to the fitness center.  For more information, contact Carol Carr at 567-4292. Scheduled hearing tests and bioenvironmental services such as gas mask testing still remain in Building 500.

50th FSS to host Spring Fling 2019

The 50th Force Support Squadron will host its annual Spring Fling 2019 10 a.m - 2 p.m. this Saturday in the base fitness center. The fitness center will be closed all day Friday and Saturday morning until the designated time. The event will be western themed and will feature games, pony rides, a petting zoo and other attractions. Children and spouses welcome. AAFES hosts Purple Up Day

The Army and Air Force Exchange Service is celebrating Purple Up Day, a worldwide recognition of the strength and sacrifice of military children, offering free treats to any child wearing purple at participating Peterson/Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Exchange installations Saturday. Military Retirees Activities Office

The Military Retiree Activities Office holds monthly council meetings the second Thursday of each month at 11:30 a.m. at The Club at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The meeting is followed by lunch at 12:45 p.m. To sign up or for more information, call the Retiree Assistance Office at 556-7153.

Schriever Choir: Orbital Harmony Auditions

The Schriever Air Force Base Choir performance group Orbital Harmony will conduct auditions to fill vacant spots for the Spring and Summer 2019 performance season. All positions are currently open (Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass). Any experience level is welcome. Auditions will be conducted by appointment in the Building 210 Chapel Office. Legal office court requirement: Before appearing and/or testifying in court in their unofficial capacity, all Air Force members are required to meet with the legal office.

Civilian Developmental Education accepting nomination packages

Nomination packages for Career Developmental Education opportunities are accepted through May 1. Applicants can apply for up to four programs. 


The majority of the courses require a continued service agreement in accordance with Air Force Instruction 36-401, Employee Training and Development. Applicants may incur up to a five year commitment upon completion of the training. This commitment begins when the students complete the program and is transferable to another federal agency if the employee leaves the Air Force.

Logistics planner retraining opportunities

KMC to provide training

The Knowledge Management Center is providing reoccurring training/classes for the Knowledge Management programs. Classes are held in Building 301, Room 119, every first Thursday of the month. Records Management is held 12 - 1:30 p.m. and Freedom of Information Privacy Act is held 1:45 –

Voluntary Leave Transfer Program - Joel Bernal

Get on Board is a community connections event which links citizens with organizations seeking board members or skills-based volunteers. The Schriever AFB community is invited to attend the event which will take place  4:30 - 6:30 p.m. April 23 at the Cornerstone Arts Center at Colorado College. AAFES hosts You Made the Grade

The Army and Air Force Exchange Service is hosting a You Made The Grade special for first through 12th-graders, including homeschooled students, who maintain a “B” average or higher throughout the school year. Qualified students will earn a $5 Exchange gift card every grading period during the 2018-19 school year. Students must present a valid military I.D. and proof of qualifying grades during any grading period at the Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado Exchange customer service area to earn their card. World Long Drive Competition seeks competitors

The World Long Drive Competition is debuting a qualifying event for military members this month with the help of the Army and Air Force Exchange Service and Army Installation Command. Active duty, Reserve and retired Airmen and Soldiers can enter to compete at the Fort Carson, Colorado, qualifying event for the Military Long Drive by visiting The event will take place 2 p.m. April 20 at Fort Carson.


The winner of the Fort Carson competition will win an all-expenses paid trip to the Military Long Drive Competition championship May 7 at Fort Jackson, South Carolina, to compete for a chance to win $10,000 and automatic entrance into the Volvik World Long Drive in Thackerville, Oklahoma Sept. 3 - 4. The Society of Military Widows

The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouses rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows meets on the last Wednesday of the month 10:30 a.m. at The Club at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado. The Retired Enlisted Association celebrates grand re-opening ceremony

The grand-opening ceremony for the TREA - The Enlisted Association Chapter 1, will take place May 4 from 1 - 4 p.m. at 3035B South Academy Street in Colorado Springs. This is a free, family-friendly event with food, drinks, community service projects and kids activities.

Registration for the 2019 FA40 Training Forum is open

The U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command/Army Forces Strategic Command’s Army Space Personnel Development Office is hosting the 2019 Annual FA40 Training Forum Aug. 13 - 16 at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado.  


This year’s forum will take place in the main conference room of Building 920 where TS-SCI briefings are scheduled. 


Registration is open to all members of the Army Space Cadre.


The registration process is not complete without submission of a TS-SCI Visit Access Request, by the member’s organizational special security officer unless he/she possesses a current PAFB/SMDC green badge. VAR information is located on the registration page.
