CE performs parking lot maintenance
The 50th Civil Engineer Squadron is scheduled to perform parking striping in the West Portal Restricted Area parking lot Saturday - Sunday. As a result, the north and south side of the West Portal parking lot will be closed. This will impact mission-essential, shift-work and handicapped personnel working nights. Areas will be cordoned off as early as Friday at 2 p.m., with work occurring on Saturday and Sunday. Members accessing the installation this weekend should heed all posted signs, park only in open spots and do not attempt to relocate cones or taping.
50th CPTS hosts food drive
The 50th Comptroller Squadron is hosting a food drive until Thursday. Donation bins are located in the Bldg. 210 atrium, fitness center lobby and the north and west restricted area portals. The items will be donated to Care and Share Food Bank for Southern Colorado. Requested items include canned foods and non-perishables.
Donate to Back to School Supply Drive
The Little Airmen’s Council is hosting a school supply drive for Schriever military-connected children. Boxes can be found in Building 210, and at the north and west restricted area portals until July 15. Needed items: pencils, folders, pens, notebooks, paper, crayons, glue, protractors, scissors, markers, colored pencils, rulers, erasers, sticky notes, maps and paper clips.
Chaplains resume Lunch Box Games
The 50th Space Wing chaplain hosted ‘Lunch Box Games’ is scheduled to resume 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. every Tuesday at the Building 300 Auditorium. Lunch Box Games is an opportunity for Airmen to take a break from work and play video games for free.
Restricted Area cell phone storage opens
The north and west restricted area portals’ cell phone storage machines are now operational. Airmen can store cell phones in the storage units before entering the restricted area. Instructions are posted on the machines.

El Paso County asks for feedback
El Paso County is asking for feedback from residents and businesses on the next stage of the County Master Plan. The county will release a series of online interactive activities for the public to participate in throughout June and July:
June 15 - 28: Review & Provide Feedback on "Key Areas"
June 29 - July 12: Review & Provide Feedback on "Areas of Change"
Each of the interactive activities for the two topics listed above will be available on the dates given. Each activity will include an explanatory video, a summary document, a mapping activity and an online questionnaire available to the public for two weeks from the launch date. The more input the county gets, the better the master plan will be.

50th Space Wing hosts promotion ceremony
The 50th Space Wing is scheduled to host a promotion ceremony 3:30 p.m. June 30, at the Event Center for June promotees. The ceremony is open to anyone at Schriever Air Force Base. Face masks are not required but are encouraged if physical distancing cannot be maintained.

Clinic suspends over-the-counter program indefinitely
The 21st Medical Squadron pharmacy has suspended the over-the-counter medication program indefinitely to ensure patients are receiving the appropriate level of care and assessment due to ongoing events.

U.S. Air Force Academy seeks cadet sponsors
The United States Air Force Academy is looking for sponsor families to build a professional mentoring relationship and provide a home-away-from-home to incoming cadets. Eligible sponsors are: active duty, retired and reserve military members O-3 and above, E-6 and above, and Department of Defense equivalent GS-05 and above. The Academy is taking requests to sponsor cadets for the academic year until Aug. 14.

Colorado Technical University Patriot Scholarship
