Donate to Back to School Supply Drive

The Little Airmen’s Council is hosting a school supply drive for Schriever military-connected children. Boxes can be found in Building 210, and at the north and west restricted area portals until July 15. Needed items: pencils, folders, pens, notebooks, paper, crayons, glue, protractors, scissors, markers, colored pencils, rulers, erasers, sticky notes, maps and paper clips.

Equal opportunity offers educational tools

The Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute website provides links to tools, videos and presentations, which are useful for supervisors, commanders and leaders. The products and resources cover: organizational effectiveness, equal opportunity, equal employment opportunity, fair treatment, and sexual assault prevention and response. El Paso County asks for feedback

El Paso County is asking for feedback from residents and businesses on the next stage of the County Master Plan, a plan to build a more livable and prosperous county. The county will release a series of online interactive activities for the public to participate in throughout June and July:

June 29 - July 12: Review & Provide Feedback on "Areas of Change"

Each of the interactive activities for the two topics listed above will be available on the dates given. Each activity will include an explanatory video, a summary document, a mapping activity and an online questionnaire available to the public for two weeks from the launch date. The more input the county gets, the better the master plan will be.

Right Start brief returns

The Schriever Right Start briefing is scheduled for 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. July 16 in the Building 300 auditorium. This briefing is mandatory for newly arrived personnel and provides information on base and community services and programs. Call 719-567-3920 to sign up.

The Schriever clinic is scheduled to close the following days:

Clinic suspends over-the-counter program indefinitely

The 21st Medical Squadron pharmacy has suspended the over-the-counter medication program indefinitely to ensure patients are receiving the appropriate level of care and assessment due to ongoing events.

Logistics Planner Retraining Opportunities

U.S. Air Force Academy seeks cadet sponsors
The United States Air Force Academy is looking for sponsor families to build a professional mentoring relationship and provide a home-away-from-home to incoming cadets. Eligible sponsors are: active duty, retired and reserve military members O-3 and above, E-6 and above, and Department of Defense equivalent GS-05 and above. The Academy is taking requests to sponsor cadets for the academic year until Aug. 14.
