SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Each month the Schriever AFB Top III selects a Top Performer from our installation.  The Top Performer award highlights the superior efforts and contributions of our junior enlisted members from across the base.

Airman 1st Class Austin Walker, 50th Space Communications Squadron infrastructure technician, earned Schriever Air Force Base's Top III Performer of the Month for February.  Walker stood out among the competition in February due to his professionalism and willingness to go above and beyond. Aside from performing his daily operation and maintenance duties for the 117 secure and non-secure network devices on base, he also led several projects last month.  Specifically, Walker provided coordination and installation of the high-speed connection which provided Schriever with real-time, streaming video of the latest GPS IIF-12 satellite launch out of Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Additionally, he was instrumental during the upgrade of the base firewall, which modernized the base's network equipment, enhancing network security for all base users. Finally, Walker was one of only five people to bench more than 300 pounds during January's bench press/dead lift competition. (Courtesy photo)
