50 SW holds Warfit/St. Patrick's Day Run
The March Warfit/St. Patrick's Day Run is scheduled 3 p.m. Tuesday. Form up on the outdoor track field behind appropriate group guidons no later than 2:45 p.m. for warm-ups. Runners will be following the normal 2.5-mile trail and have the option to wear green athletic attire or the Air Force PT uniform. Please refrain from wearing St. Patrick's inspired accessories (i.e. hats, glasses, sunglasses, beads). The first 100 participants wearing green to cross the finish line will receive a free t-shirt. The top 3 male and top 3 female finishers will receive gift cards. For additional information, contact Airman 1st Class Adrian Ordonez at 567-2010.     

Military Retirees Activities Office holds monthly luncheon 
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker Thursday will be Jody Barker from the Colorado Springs Senior Center.

Military members: Get your CrossFit on
Find out if you have what it takes to be one of three top competitors and potentially showcase your skills alongside two of the best CrossFit competitors in the world.  Prove your mettle as a CrossFit entrant by participating in "tryouts" hosted by the Fitness Center 3 p.m. Friday. Winners may have an opportunity to participate in CrossFit Open 16.4, an Internet-streamed event expected to reach 5.5 million people worldwide.  Open Tryout Challenges include (male and female categories): Deadlift, Handstand Pushups, Box Jumps, Body Squats, Pull-ups, Row 500 Meters, Slam Ball, Run 200 Meters, Push Press, Double-unders, Leg Pistols and Farmers Carry. Chapel hosts Airmen Easter Egg hunt
Ever look at kids at an Easter Egg hunt and get jealous? Do you miss the days of finding Easter Eggs? Or getting tons of Easter chocolate? The Chaplain's office is throwing an Airmen Easter Egg Hunt 11 a.m. Tuesday at the volleyball courts in the restricted area (Building 502, East North Portal). All uniformed and civilian personnel who are tired of being a grown up can attend. Free cookout afterwards.

Visit Schriever - Staff and Family Tour: March 18  
Schriever Air Force Base personnel and their family members are invited on a Staff and Family Tour 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. March 18. Space is limited. The deadline to sign up for the tour is close of business Tuesday. If interested, call the Public Affairs Office at 567-5040.

The 50th Space Communications Squadron will be hosting this year's Tech Expo 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Monday at the Schriever Fitness Center.

Family Bible study is 6:30 - 8 p.m. every Wednesday at the Tierra Vista Community Center. Come join us for inspiring worship, Bible study and prayer. Families are welcome. Schriever Women's Bible Study

Society opens door to military widows 
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse's rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at the Peterson Air Force Base Club.
