GPS gala sets 'Gold Standard'
The second annual GPS Heritage Gala will take place Friday at the Space Foundation.  The event, themed "Setting the Gold Standard," will celebrate the success of GPS and all the people who make it possible.   Social hour begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m.  The gala was designed to inspire the GPS community by sharing stories of our valued users.  The guest speaker is a Tactical Air Control Party member and Wounded Warrior, Tech. 50 SW holds promotion ceremony
Come celebrate with the 50th Space Wing Airmen as we recognize their promotions during a ceremony 3 p.m. Feb. 29 at the Schriever Fitness Center.  Punch, cookies and fresh fruit cups will be provided upon conclusion of the ceremony.  For questions, contact 1st Lt. Mary Holman at 567-4857.


Chapel sponsors women's Bible study
The Schriever Chapel sponsors a women's Bible study 9:30-11 a.m. every Tuesday in the Tierra Vista conference room. "The Lies Women Believe and the Truth that Sets them Free" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss is the current book of choice the group will go through together and study, along with the Bible. Housing offers family Christian fellowship
The Schriever Housing Family Christian Fellowship now offers youth Bible study for ages 5 and up. Study for both adults and youth will consist of inspiring worship, Bible study and prayer 6:30-8 p.m. every Wednesday at the Tierra Vista Community Center. Fitness center opens gym for floor ball
The Schriever Fitness Center gymnasium is open for floor ball (floor hockey) Thursday evenings 5-6 p.m.  All equipment is supplied.  If you are interested in participating, please contact Senior Airman Jeremy Binz at 567-5239 or Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Wander at 556-4179.


Shred your paper
The shred truck is coming 2-4 p.m. Feb. 25 in the restricted area; and 9-10 a.m. Feb. 26 at Building 210.

Voluntary Leave Transfer Program - David O. Hayes
David O. Hayes has been approved for the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program due to a current medical condition.  Should you like to donate leave to this employee, please do the following: 
1. Complete the OPM 630-A, Request to Donate Annual Leave to Leave Recipient Under the VLTP (within agency) or (outside agency)
2. You may scan the signed form and email it to Jaime Sampayo or fax to 567-2832.

Society opens door to military widows 
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse's rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows will meet at 10:30 a.m. on the last Wednesday of the month at the Peterson Air Force Base club. Military Retirees Activities Office holds monthly luncheon
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker for March 10 will be Jody Barker from the Colorado Springs Senior Center.
