50 SW commander hosts development team feedback
Col DeAnna M. Burt, 50th Space Wing commander, is hosting a development team feedback for all Schriever 13S officers 9-10:30 a.m. Feb. 2 in the Building 300 auditorium. DCS link will be available for geographically separated units. 

50 SW hosts annual awards banquet
The 50th Space Wing hosts the annual awards banquet Feb. 5 at the Peterson Air Force Base club. Medallion ceremony is at 5 p.m., with cocktail hour at 6 p.m. Dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. Dress code is mess dress or semi-formal for military and formal or black tie for civilians.

Society opens door to military widows  
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse's rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows will meet at 10:30 a.m. on the last Wednesday of the month at the Peterson Air Force Base club. HAWC offers services
The Health and Wellness Center offers the following services in Building 500 in the restricted area. To schedule an appointment or for more information, contact Tiffany Brunton at 556-5787.
- Dietary services is every Thursday
- Individual nutrition consultation: meet with registered dietitian for medical nutrition therapy in variety of disease states, weight loss, pre or post-natal, pediatric, sports nutrition and more.
- Bod Pod body fat assessment: estimates the body fat and resting metabolic rate. Tests last approximately 10-15 minutes and participants must wear spandex or compression clothing.

Retiree luncheon talks about challenges
The Military Retiree and Spouses Activities offices will host a luncheon noon Thursday, Feb. 11, 2016, in the Peterson Air Force Base club. Kevin Gilmartin will speak on the Federal Long-Term Care Insurance Program and how it is helping the growing number of caregivers who are facing the challenges of an aging U.S. population. You do not need to be a Club member to attend.  Please call the Retiree Activities Office at 556-7153 by Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, to make reservations.

21 MDS announces holiday, training hours
The 21st Medical Squadron will be closed on the following times and dates: noon-4:30 p.m. Feb. 10, March 9 and April 13 for training; and all day Feb. 15 (holiday). The clinic closes 3:30 p.m. Wednesdays for physical training. The normal clinic hours are 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. For emergencies, call 9-1-1. For appointments, call 524-CARE.

Ride a vanpool
Save gas money. The government provides $130 per rider per month to pay for a commuter van.  Department of Defense civilians and military personnel are eligible.  Space is available on a van that originates from Falcon Walmart (Woodmen and Meridian Market View Road). The van departs 6:25 a.m. weekdays and arrives 6:55 a.m. at Schriever. At the end of the duty day, the van departs 4:10 p.m. from Schriever and arrives 4:40 p.m. at Falcon Walmart. Complete the OPM 630-A, Request to Donate Annual Leave to Leave Recipient Under the VLTP (within agency) or (outside agency) 2.
