Schriever focuses on 'Power of One' 
Team Schriever is hosting a total force leadership development program event focusing on John Maxwell's "Power of One" 12:30-3:30 p.m. Jan. 14 in the Building 300 Auditorium. This program delivers practical leadership lessons to Schriever's total force using Maxwell's award winning leadership curriculum (via a facilitator). All Schriever personnel are welcome to attend. Fitness center opens gym for floorball
The Schriever Fitness Center is opening its gymnasium for floorball (floor hockey) 5-6 p.m. Thursdays. All equipment is supplied.  If interested in participating, contact Senior Airman Jeremy Binz at 567-5239 or Tech. Sgt. Jonathan Wander at 556-4179.


Schriever housing holds fellowship  
The Schriever Housing Family Christian Fellowship will consist of inspiring worship, bible study and prayer 6:30-8 p.m. every Wednesday at the Tierra Vista Community Center. Bring the family. For more information, call 567-3705.


Voluntary Leave Transfer Program - William M. Farley
William M. Farley has been approved for the Voluntary Leave Transfer Program due to a current medical condition.  Should you like to donate leave to this employee, please do the following:  1. Complete the OPM 630-A, Request to Donate Annual Leave to Leave Recipient Under the VLTP (within agency) or (outside agency) 2. You may scan the signed form and email Jaime Sampayo or fax to 567-2832.


Bioenvironmental Engineering office now open
Bioenvironmental Engineering provides health risk assessment expertise to improve Airmen health.  The office ensures the Air Force is in compliance with Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health requirements by providing public awareness/concern/disclosure and the recognition of risk analysis/communication/management.  The office is located in Building 500 and is open 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday; and 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday. Fit testing is 8 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Thursday. For more information, call 567-3948.

Society opens door to military widows   
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse's rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows will meet at 10:30 a.m. on the last Wednesday of the month at the Peterson Air Force Base club. Military Retirees Activities Office holds luncheon  
The Military Retiree Activities Office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month, at the Peterson Air Force Base club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker for Jan. 14 is Jeff Major, financial coach for veterans from the Pikes Peak Work Force Center.  Spouses are welcome to attend.  Contact 556-7153 for more information.

Request absentee ballots now
State primary elections will kick off this year's election season beginning in February. While some states do not require absentee military voters and their dependents to re-certify annually, some states do. Individuals should receive a form to request an absentee ballot from their unit voting assistance officer before Jan. 15. If you do not, you can find the form on the Federal Voting Assistance Program website at Complete the form and print it for mailing.  If you have questions, contact your unit rep or the Installation Voting Office at 567-6877
