Copper Mountain offers free skiing on Veterans Day
Copper Mountain is opening early and offering free skiing and riding to all active or retired military and their dependents tomorrow, Nov. 11. This includes all Active Duty, Reserve, National Guard or Retired Military and their dependents (spouses and/or children). Military Retirees Activities Office holds luncheon
The Military Retiree Activities office is holding a luncheon at noon Thursday, at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. AFOSI foreign travel briefing
The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is hosting a foreign travel briefing at 10:30 a.m. every Tuesday in Building 210, Suite 245. Any member, who is unable to attend the designated travel brief dates, will be required to have a signed memorandum for record from their commander prior to AFOSI scheduling a separate brief.
AFOSI Islamic State threat briefing
The Air Force Office of Special Investigations is hosting a briefing in Building 300 at 10 a.m. Tuesday, and at 3 p.m. Nov 30. The briefing will provide information on the Islamic State Organization as well and on local threat issues.
Chapel hosts Schriever Women's Bible study
The Schriever Chapel will sponsor the Schriever Women's Bible Study in the Tierra Vista Conference Room, every Tuesday 9:30 - 11 a.m. "The lies women believe and the truth that sets them free" by Nancy Leigh DeMoss is the current book of choice the group will review, along with the Bible. Christmas Tree, Menorah lighting ceremony
The holiday season is right around the corner and so is the annual base tradition to lighting the Christmas Tree and Menorah. Please join us Dec. 1 at 3 p.m. outside of Building 210. Santa will make a special appearance and there will be cookies and hot chocolate in the atrium for all. Bring the entire family!

North Vehicle Entrapment area closure
The North Vehicle Entrapment area will be closed from now through Saturday, due to construction. Please plan accordingly and utilize the West Vehicle Entrapment area.

Dry Cleaning Express service available
The dry cleaning drop box at the Schriever Shoppette is available. Drop off for Monday is 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and pick up is Thursday any time after 3 p.m. Drop off for Thursday is 6 a.m. - 2 p.m. and pick up is Monday any time after 3 p.m. The concessionaire will pick up and drop off between 2 and 2:30 p.m. both days.

When observing an aggressive driver who is putting other motorists at risk, pull over to the side of the road to utilize your cellular, or hands free device while on the installation, and contact local Security Forces, Colorado Highway Patrol or El Paso County as soon as possible. Be prepared to provide the following information: vehicle description, license plate number, location and direction of travel, driver description and the aggressive driving behavior being demonstrated. Alert: Don't get fooled by phishing attempts! Fake SmartDocs emails are being sent with links and requesting personal information. Real Defense Finance and Accounting Services SmartDocs don't ask for information. Avoid URLs that don't go to myPay https://mypay.dfas.mil or www.dfas.mil websites and manually type URLs into your browser. Additional information can be found on www.dfas.mil. Recently, Pacific Air Forces provided a SmartDoc asking for cost-of-living adjustment information, it was confirmed by DFAS to be a phishing attempt. Please be vigilant with any email asking for personal information.
