Schriever Air Force Clinic provides care to retirees
Did you know you can obtain your primary care at Schriever clinic? All TRICARE Prime beneficiaries are eligible to enroll at the clinic! If you work on Schriever, receiving care at the clinic is convenient and accessible. Need medications? The pharmacy wait time is five minutes or less. To enroll at the clinic or for more information about TRICARE Prime, please contact United Healthcare at https://www.uhcmilitarywest.com or 1-877-988-9378.

New rules for filling prescriptions
All non-active-duty TRICARE beneficiaries must fill select brand name maintenance medications (for chronic conditions, i.e. for blood pressure or cholesterol) through either TRICARE Pharmacy Home Delivery or a military pharmacy. To see the list of affected brand name drugs, visit http://www.health.mil/selectdruglist. Please note this does not affect active duty patients, generic name medications or medications taken for a short time, such as antibiotics.

Beneficiaries who choose to continue using a retail pharmacy must ask for the generic versions of the medication, if available. (Note: Some medications are available as brand name only, i.e. CrestorR and LandusR). Beneficiaries filling any affected brand name medications at a retail pharmacy will receive a letter from TRICARE containing information about this change and explaining that after two "courtesy" fills at a retail pharmacy, they will have to pay 100 percent of the cost of the medication. Beneficiaries can contact Express Scripts at 877-363-1303 to see if they are affected. For more information, visit http://www.tricare.mil/RxNewRules.

Medical appointments can be booked online
