SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- School Supplies Drive
Donate school supplies for the drive for our students who attend Ellicott! Donation bins will be placed in the Atrium of building 210 and in the Airman and Family Readiness Center. We are accepting donations of papers, pencils, crayons, pens, etc. These items will be available to students/parents at the Ellicott Registration at Tierra Vista on July 22 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Students will receive a complimentary backpack. Military Retirees Activities Office holds luncheon
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker for Aug. 13 is Dr. Shaw from the UCCS Aging Center. For more information, call 556-7153.
Society opens door to military widows
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouses rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows meets on the last Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at the Peterson Air Force Base Club. CFP, LRA offices changes hours
Effective Aug. 3, the 50th Space Communications Squadron will be implementing new hours of operation for the following customer service areas: Communications Focal Point: Monday-Friday from 7 a.m.-4 p.m.; VIP/Emergency after hours support will be available at (719) 359-2642. Schriever LRA Office (SIPR Token/Org Box Certs): walk-in customer service hours are Monday and Friday 8 a.m.-10 a.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. Service for Tuesday-Thursday will be by appointment only. Please call the LRA office at 567-3824 for scheduling information.
Horn Creek Family Retreat August 14 - 16 2015
Engage in relationship building and family resiliency seminars, as well as fun and challenging team building activities for your family. Child care will be provided during the Saturday evening seminar only (1 hour) for children ages 0-12. However, this is a family retreat; therefore no continuous child care will be provided. Save money, use vanpool - Falcon
Save gas money, the government provides $130 per rider per month to pay for the commuter van. DOD civilians and uniformed military personnel are eligible. Space is available on the van that originates from Falcon Wal-Mart (Woodmen and Meridian Market View Road). The van departs at 6:25 a.m. weekdays and arrives at Schriever Air Force Base at 6:55 a.m. At the end of the duty day, the van departs Schriever at 4:10 p.m. and arrives at Falcon Wal-Mart at 4:40 p.m. Drop off and pickup points on Schriever may vary.
