SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Last week's answer:
The 50th Fighter Group (now 50th Operations Group) arrived on April 5, 1944 at this airfield from which it began combat operations. The group arrived at Advanced Landing Ground (ALG) #551, near Lymington, England. Within a few weeks, the group's pilots were engaged in combat over France.
