50 SCS Airman earns Top III award

Staff Sgt. Logan Kellar, 50th Space Communications Squadron, received the Top III Top Performer of the Month award for February. Kellar performed exceptional as shift supervisor leading a five-person team in restoring 48 outages, directly impacting eight Department of Defense space programs. His team ensured stable communications for missions supporting the Space X launch, ISIS bombing missions and resupplying of the International Space Station. He also goes out of his way to ensure all members on his crew, and other Airmen, are mentored in aspects of military service and obligations and within their personal lives. He has dedicated off-duty time to taking care of his Airmen on a personal level; he has made several hospital visits for a sick Airman, as well as, developed budgeting plans for his Airmen so they can succeed in their goals of saving money. Not only does he teach his crew how to be an Airman on a daily basis, but he shows them by example how to be an Airman.
