SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Last week's answer:
On March 2, 1973, this NASA space probe carried a gold plaque describing what we look like, where we are, and the date its mission began designed to signal peace to any extraterrestrials who might intercept it. That probe was NASA's Pioneer 10.
This week's question:
On 8 March 1991, the Air Force conducted the first launch of this booster from the West Coast at Vandenberg Air Force Base's Space Launch Complex 4E.
