310 SW holds annual awards banquet 
Col. Damon S. Military Retiree Activities Office to hold luncheon 
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206.

Society of Military Widows open to spouses
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouses rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows meets 10:30 a.m. on the last Wednesday of the month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club. Schriever team looks for Spartan race members

Brad Paisley tickets on sale now 
The Information, Tickets and Tours office is now selling tickets for country superstar Brad Paisley at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs. Tickets can be purchased at ITT/ODR in Building 300, Room 133. Stop by the office or call 567-6050 for any questions. 

Choice Hotels offers discounted travel

Basketball court closes Feb. 20 
The Schriever Fitness Center basketball court will be closed on the following days/times: all day Feb. 20; 3 p.m. Feb. 24 until noon Feb. 25; 1-7:30 p.m. Feb. 26; noon-5 p.m. Feb. 27. Please call the fitness center at 567-6628 for more information.

Colorado Avalanche holds military appreciation night 
The Information, Tickets and Tours office is now selling tickets to the Colorado Avalanche's military appreciation game against the Tampa Bay Lightning Feb. 22. Tickets are discounted for all areas. Stop by the ITT office in Building 300, Room 133 to purchase your tickets today.

Denver Nuggets features 'Knockout' night 
The Information, Tickets and Tours office is selling tickets to the Denver Nuggets game March 1 against the New Orleans Pelicans for a game of "Knockout." Every ticket purchased is one entry into the game of "Knockout," for ages 8 and up.  Tickets are specially discounted for the game. The winner of the "Knockout" game will receive courtside seats to a Nuggets game of their choice. Stop by the ITT office in Building 300, Room 133 for more information or to purchase tickets.

Save money, vanpool to Schriever 
Is the wear and tear of commuting in bad weather taking a bite out of your car and your wallet?  Take advantage of a vanpool.  Best news for government civil service and active-duty military, they receive a government mass transit benefit to offset commuting costs.   So join our van pool.  The route includes the South Denver, Castle Pines/Rock area.  Final destination is at Schriever AFB with arrival times between 7 and 7:15 a.m., Monday-Friday.  Call (719) 359-0343 for more information. 

ITT sells ski tickets 
The Information, Tickets and Tours office is selling season passes for your local mountains. You can purchase the Patriot Pass, Patriot Pass Plus, Liberty pass, Liberty Honor pass, Winter Park season pass, Copper Mountain season pass and the Loveland Ski Area season pass. Buy your tickets here before going skiing or snowboarding.  Avoid the lines; buy your tickets at the ITT office.  Call 567-6050 for more information.

Varsity softball team holds tryouts 
The Schriever Air Force Base varsity softball team is looking for dedicated players for the upcoming season.  If you are interested, tryouts will be held 3 p.m. Feb. 19, 24 and 26 at the base softball field.  Please contact John Kaufman or Master Sgt. Joshua Carter for further details. 

Housing holds bible study 
The Schriever Housing Christian Fellowship will consist of worship, bible study and prayer 6:30-8 p.m. every Wednesday at Tierra Vista community center. Those interested may email jks.looking4glass@gmail.com or call 406-871-0550. All you need is a bible and willingness to study God's word.  The format will be a discussion led study. Childcare will not be provided but do not let the lack of childcare hinder attendance. Just give us a call and we will explore options as necessary.  If you play the guitar or to want to lead worship, contact us ASAP.  

Chapel holds Catholic Ash Wednesday service 
Please join us for a Catholic prayer service with the distribution of ashes commemorating the beginning of lent.  The 30-minute service will be held 12:30 p.m. Feb. 18 in Building T-135, next to the fitness center.  For more information, contact the chapel at 567-3705.

Chapel sponsors leadership study 
The chapel will sponsor a leadership study based on lessons from the Book of Nehemiah.  It is a faith-based study with life-changing insights and lessons on leadership.  If you are looking to enhance your leadership skills, this is a great opportunity.  It will begin 11:30 Feb. 10 in the Satellite Dish dining facility and will continue Tuesdays, same time/place, for four to five weeks.   Bring a friend.  Please come a little early so you can grab your grub and join in the fun.
