SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Promotion ceremony to be held Jan. 30
The December and January promotion ceremonies will be held 3 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Schriever Fitness Center.
Quarterly awards rescheduled to Jan. 16
The 4th quarter award ceremony has been rescheduled to 10 a.m. Jan. 16 at the Schriever Fitness Center. This will coincide with a brief commander's call with Col. Bill Liquori, and then transition to chiefs barbecue 11 a.m.
Retiree Activities Office holds luncheon
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The next luncheon is Dec. 11, and the guest speaker scheduled is Virginia Berry, reverse mortgage specialist.
Schriever holds Toys for Tots drive
As you spend time enjoying the holidays with friends and family, please remember those who may have fallen on hard times. Toys for Tots donation boxes are set up until Dec. 18 on various locations on base to help out children in the local community, as part of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots program, which aims to collect new, unwrapped toys and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. Please help donate to a great cause and help give back to children in Colorado Springs this holiday season. Please direct any questions to Senior Airman Chris Hisey, 2nd Lt. Collin Payne or 2nd Lt. Christmas is coming, buy Avalanche, Nuggets Tickets
The Information, Tickets and Travel office is selling tickets to the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets. All sections and seats are available for every home game for the 2014/2015 seasons. Stop by the ITT/ODR office for pricing or to purchase tickets. Call 567-6050 for more questions.
In-service recruiter holds Palace Front or Palace Chase briefs
Palace Chase and Palace Front briefings are held 10 a.m. each Wednesday in Building 26, Suite 106 (subject to change if TDY). If you are interested in information about the Air Force Reserve Palace Front or Palace Chase Programs, please contact Master Sgt. Matthew Laney at 567-4494. He is located in Building 26, Suite 144. This building is outside the restricted area next to the Irwin Road gate entrance.

The Information, Tickets and Travel and Outdoor Recreation office is now selling tickets for country superstar Brad Paisley at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs. Denver Nuggets features 'courtside experience'
The Denver Nuggets will give all military personnel who purchase tickets to the San Antonio Spurs game Dec. 14 the opportunity to sit courtside for the pre-game warm-ups. Stop by the Information Tickets and Travel office in Building 300, Room 133 for more information or to purchase tickets.
Rec-On features Keystone ski trip
Outdoor Recreation is hosting a Rec-On ski trip Dec. 27 to Keystone Village. The trip is open to all active duty and their families. Cost per person is $25 and includes your all day ski ticket, transportation to and from Keystone, and your rentals (if needed). Transportation and rentals are being provided by U.S. Air Force Academy. Contact Korey Kuykendall at 567-6050 for any questions. To register and pay, stop by the ODR office in Building 300, Room 133.
TVC showcases craft, small business fair
Come on out 3-5 p.m. Dec. 12 at the Tierra Vista Community Center for a craft and small business fair kickoff and then, join us again 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 13 for more shopping, plus photos with Santa and crafts for the kids.
