SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- Gate closures
The west installation and restricted area gates will be closed Nov. 27-30 due to the Thanksgiving holiday.

Schriever mailroom operates holiday hours
The Schriever mailroom will be closed on the following family days: Nov. 28, Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. It will reopen the following duty day at 7:30 a.m. For more information, please contact Master Sgt. Georgina Williams at 567-5305/2502.

Retiree activities office holds luncheon
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. Dec. 11 in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker scheduled is Virginia Berry, Reverse Mortgage Specialist. 

Christmas is coming, buy Avalanche, Nuggets Tickets
The Information, Tours and Tickets office is selling tickets to the Colorado Avalanche and Denver Nuggets games. All sections and seats are available for every home game for the 2014/2015 seasons. Stop by the ITT/ODR office for pricing or to purchase tickets. Call 567-6050 for more questions.

In-service recruiter briefs Palace Front, Palace Chase
Palace Chase and Palace Front briefings are held 10 a.m. each Wednesday in Building 26 (310th Space Wing Headquarter), Suite 106(subject to change if TDY).  If you are interested in information about the Air Force Reserve Palace Front or Palace Chase Programs, please contact Master Sgt. Brad Paisley tickets on sale now
The Information, Tickets and Tours and Outdoor Recreation office is now selling tickets for country superstar Brad Paisley at the Broadmoor World Arena in Colorado Springs. Tickets can be purchased at the ITT/ODR in Building 300, Room 133. Stop by the office or call 567-6050 for any questions. 

Reduce stress by improving sleep
Are you waking up tired?  Feeling unrefreshed or unrested?  Having difficulties falling or staying asleep at night? Want a better night of sleep?  Nationally, one-third of the population experiences occasional sleep problems, yet only 10 percent of sleep problems are caused from medical conditions.  The remainders of sleep problems are caused by things we can control.  Come to the 21st Medical Squadron Mental Health Clinic's sleep enhancement class to find out how.  Bring you lunch noon Dec. 11 to the Chapel Resource Room in Building 300, Room 146.  Class is open to all Schriever personnel. 

Manage stress
We realize that today you are doing more with less. It is important that we build resilience to deal with our changing environment.  The 21st Medical Squadron Mental Health Clinic is offering a stress management class to teach relaxation skills and optimize wellbeing.  The class is open to all Schriever personnel. Bring your lunch noon Dec. 18 to the Chapel Resource Room in Building 300, Room 146. Empower yourself to be a resilient person.  Class is open to all Schriever personnel.

Fitness center hours for Nov. 27-30

Clinic to hold flu line
The Schriever Clinic will hold a flu line 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 3 in front of the Satellite Dish Dining Facility.

Finance in-processing briefs
The 50th Comptroller Squadron will now hold weekly in-processing briefs for new members needing to fill out their PCS travel vouchers.  Finance PCS in-processing briefs will officially begin Dec. 1 and will be held every Monday at 8 a.m. in the finance lobby located in Building 210, Room 146A.  We will be only in-processing members at this time so please ensure this information gets passed to anyone in your squadron involved in in-processing new members.  Please make sure members visit finance within five days of arrival, to ensure compliance and allow their travel voucher to be processed in a timely manner.  For any questions or concerns, please direct them to our customer service help desk at 567-1047.

Denver Nuggets features 'courtside experience'
The Denver Nuggets will provide all military personnel who purchase tickets to the San Antonio Spurs game Dec. 14 the opportunity to sit courtside for the pre-game warm-ups. Stop by the Information Travel and Tickets office in Building 300, Room 133 for more information or to purchase tickets.

Day Passes now available
The Information, Tickets and Travel office is now selling season and day passes for your local mountains. You can now purchase season passes and day passes for your favorite mountains. Stop by ODR/ITT office to buy your tickets here before going skiing or snowboarding.  Call 567-6050 for more information.
