General court-martial convicts Airman

SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- A 4th Space Operations Squadron Airman was convicted by a general court-martial of two specifications of indecent acts and abusive sexual contact.
Senior Airman James Kmet was sentenced to reduction to the grade of E-1, 120 days of confinement, forfeiture of all pay and allowances and to be discharged from the service with a bad conduct discharge.
The 50th Space Wing Legal office wants to remind Airmen that sexual assault in any form is illegal and will absolutely not be tolerated by the U.S. Air Force. Such crimes are punishable under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
