Crime prevention tip
Parents should take time to learn more about the operating system on their home computers.  Each computer user in the household should have their own login account, but you should make yourself the administrator of the operating system. By becoming the system administrator, parents can then set and control key computer functions, such as turning off file sharing, barring additional internet accounts, and key.  If you would like further information, please contact Staff Sgt. Steven McCoy at 567-5830.

Reduce stress, improve sleep
Are you waking up tired?  Feeling unrefreshed or unrested?  Having difficulties falling or staying asleep at night? Want a better night of sleep?  Nationally, one-third of the population experiences occasional sleep problems, yet only 10 percent of sleep problems are caused from medical conditions.  The remainders of sleep problems are caused by things we can control.  Come to the sleep enhancement class to find out how.  Bring you lunch noon Nov. 6 to the Chapel Resource Room in Building 300, Room 146.  Class is open to all Schriever personnel.

Manage your stress
We realize that today you are doing more with less. It is important that we build resilience to deal with our changing environment.  The 21st Medical Squadron Mental Health Clinic is offering a stress management class to teach relaxation skills and optimize wellbeing.  The class is open to all Schriever personnel. Bring your lunch noon Oct. 23 to the Chapel Resource Room in Building 300, Room 146. Empower yourself to be a resilient person.  Class is open to all Schriever personnel.

Have medical questions? Call TRICARE nurse advice line
Sometimes it is difficult to know when to seek medical help for acute health problems, so having access to professional advice at a moment's notice is invaluable. The Military Health System's new nurse advice line for TRICARE beneficiaries does just that. Since April, TRICARE beneficiaries in the continental United States, Alaska and Hawaii can call the NAL toll-free 24/7. The NAL is a team of registered nurses who are available to answer a variety of urgent healthcare questions. To access the NAL, dial 719-524-2273, option 3, or 1-800-TRJCARE (874-2273); Option 1 if you are traveling out of the area.
