Recycle, take a stand
Participating in the Schriever recycling program preserves the environment and helps the base reach its fiscal 2015 goal of a 55 percent diversion rate (the percentage of trash not placed in a landfill through recycling). Simply place newspaper and magazines, cardboard, plastics (No. 1-7, including No. 6 food containers), metal cans, glass bottles and jars, brown paper bags, aluminum foil, phone books, and shredded and mixed paper all in the same recycling container. Please remember to empty or scrape drink and food containers. Take a stand against waste.

Schriever migrates SIPRNet email migration
The Department of Defense is directing migration of SIPRNet email services from the existing Air Force managed configuration to a DISA enterprise solution. Schriever's migration is scheduled for October. Changes to email functionality will be minor for users, but all SIPRNet email users and organizational account managers must perform pre-migration actions to ensure compliance and avoid mission impact. During the coming weeks, you will receive emails on when and how to complete your checklist. If you have any questions at this time, please contact the CFP at 567-2666 option 2.
