Schriever Air Force Base, Colo. -- Military Retiree Activities holds meetings
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base Club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker for the July 10 meeting will be Stephanie Zenon, who will speak about the U.S. Air Force Academy Military Housing Office offering housing for the military retirees. 50th FSS needs Summer Slam volunteers
50th FSS is holding the 2014 Summer Slam Base Picnic 10 a.m.-2 p.m. July 18 at the Schriever Fitness Center. With this, the squadron needs volunteers for the set-up, bounce house supervision, food and beverage servers, cleanup and more. For more information, call 567-5464.

Grab free Sky Sox vouchers
The Colorado Sky Sox Military Appreciation Games continue at 7:05 p.m. June 26. Free vouchers are available on a first come first served basis at the Schriever Fitness Center, Outdoor Recreation and at the Wizards Brew Coffee Shop. Vouchers must be redeemed at the Sky Sox box office prior to the day of the game to ensure seating is still available. For more information on the vouchers, please call 567-3588.

MPS upgrades ID card support
Due to a system upgrade, the Military Personnel Section will not be able to provide identification card support June 24. This include common access cards, PIN resets and dependent or retiree ID cards. The MPS expects to be fully operational again by June 25. For emergency requests during the upgrade, please contact Missile Defense Agency or visit Peterson Air Force Base. Please forward any concerns to Master Sgt. Christina McCrady at 567-4160.

Attend free marriage conference - Jul 25 -27
Get away for a great weekend marriage conference July 25-27 at Omni Interlocken Resort in Broomfield, Colorado. This includes a two-night stay, meals, marriage workshops and childcare provided during workshops and concert dinner. The event is sponsored by the Schriever Air Force Base Chapel and hosted by the Colorado Healthy Marriage Project. It is open to all military members and their dependents. Base holds Schriever Week celebration
Col. Bill Liquori, 50th Space Wing commander, invites all Schriever Air Force Base units and personnel to take part in the Schriever Week celebration and events from July 14-18. Themed "Mastering Space for 65 years...," the week is aimed at honoring Schriever's history as well as recognizing the people who support the daily mission. The fun-filled week will kick off July 14 following an opening ceremony. Sponsored events during the week will include a Top 3 softball tournament, obstacle race, unit pride wing run and will culminate at the base picnic July 18. Schriever Week features softball tournament
The Schriever Week celebration will feature a round-robin softball tournament. Entry fee is $100.00 per team and all money raised will go to either the Enlisted Air Force Village or the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force Scholarship Program. Team size is capped at 15 members and can be both males and females. The last day to register is June 24. Please contact Tech. Sgt. Christopher Jacobs at 567-6182 with further questions.
