Sign up for the Falcon 50 Race Series
The Falcon 50 is a series of three races including a 50-mile ultra-marathon, a marathon and a 26.2-mile ruck. All races will be held May 3 at the U.S. Air Force Academy. This series is open to all Department of Defense cardholders and each person can only sign up for one of the three races. Initial registration closes Feb. 14, after which the prices will increase by $5. Race prices are as follows: $50 for the 50-miler, $35 for marathon and $35 for ruck. Military Saves Week talks about money, money, money
The Airman and Family Readiness Center is scheduled to hold Military Saves Week classes from Feb. 24-28. Except for the information fair, all classes will be in the A&FRC classroom. Call 567-3920 to sign up.

A&FRC briefs pre-separation counseling
The Airman and Family Readiness Center is scheduled to host a pre-separation counseling briefing 2-4 p.m. Feb. 18. This is the first step to separating or retiring from the military and the briefing is mandatory. Discussion will include registering for e-benefits, beginning an individual transition plan and the benefits and services available when you leave the military. Documentation of this briefing is accomplished through the completion of Department of Defense Form 2648. If you are a year from separation or two years from retirement, start the process. Call the A&FRC at 567-3920 to sign up.

Learn how to write a resume
Learn what's new, what's now and what's next in resume formats and processes, how to best present yourself, structure and format for career change, cover letters and more during a resume class 9-11 a.m. Feb. 19. It is helpful, but not necessary, to have a basic resume already written. Call the Airman and Family Readiness Center at 567-3920 to sign up.

A&FRC holds Right Start briefing
The Airman and Family Readiness Center will be conducting the Right Start brief 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. Feb. 20 in the Building 300 auditorium. Newcomers to Schriever must attend this brief, which is specifically geared towards newly arrived military personnel, Department of Defense civilians and their families. Spouses are invited; but the sponsoring member must obtain a visitor pass at Pass and ID and perform escort duties. For information or to sign up, contact the A&FRC at 567-3920.

Base movie volunteers needed
We are looking for volunteers to help show base movies. The movies alternate between Friday and Saturday. The first movie is at 3 p.m. and the second at 6 p.m. Some of the upcoming movies include; The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, American Hustle, Lone Survivor and 12 Years a Slave. New vanpool serves Castle Rock, Monument, Black Forest
