SCHRIEVER AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. -- NORAD tracks Santa
The NORAD Tracks Santa volunteer registration is now open to all local installations. To sign up to be an Official Santa Tracker for either Dec. 24 or 25, visit https://noradsantavolunteers.acuityscheduling.com. Family and friends are invited to participate. Military members are encouraged to wear their uniforms. The NORAD Tracks Santa Operations Center will again be held at the Peterson Leadership Development Center Building 910. For scheduling information or general questions regarding the program, contact 1st Lt. Stacey Fenton at or 554-3305.

New vanpool serves south Denver
Take advantage of mass transportation vouchers for military and government civil service. A new vanpool is forming to serve the southern Denver area. The route is currently in the planning stages for areas along the I-25 corridor, starting from the I-25 Exit 193 area with possible stops at the Castle Pines, Castle Rock, Monument, Woodmen/I25 PnR and Walmart (East Woodmen) as determined by the riders who sign up. Final destination is Schriever AFB with arrival times not later than 7:30 a.m. Monday-Friday. A minimum of six riders are needed. Call (719) 359-0343 or (719) 721-8094 for more information.

In-service recruiter holds Palace Front or Palace Chase briefings
The Palace Chase and Palace Front briefings are held 10 a.m. Wednesdays in Building 26 (310th Space Wing Headquarters), Suite 106 (subject to change if TDY). If you are interested in information about the Air Force Reserve Palace Front or Palace Chase Programs, please contact your Air Force Reserve In-Service Recruiter Master Sgt. Matthew Laney at 567-4494. He is located in the 310 SW HQ, Building 26, Suite 144. This building is outside the RA next to the Irwin Rd. Gate entrance.

Schriever Protestant Chapel sponsors "Jesus - God or Guru?" discussion
Join us for discussion and study as we examine the person of Jesus Christ. He is perhaps the most influential and controversial figure in western society. What does history say about him? Can the Biblical texts be trusted? Can we still learn from Him today? All are welcome. The event is 11 a.m. Wednesdays beginning Dec. 11 in the Chapel Resource Room. Chaplain office holds open Christmas forum
Ever frustrated by the hustle and bustle of the holiday rush? Come and learn from internationally known speaker and teacher on the New Testament, Dr. Craig Blomberg, N.T. professor of Denver Seminary. He will share how to "Rescue Christmas From Culture and The Church." Dr. Blomberg will be teaching from his Christian worldview but all are welcome to attend noon to 1 p.m. Dec. 12 in the Satellite Dish dining facility. Have tough question regarding Christmas? Power outage
There is a scheduled power outage 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 14, which will affect the following facilities: Buildings 210, 220 and 120. The fitness center's selectorized room, racquetball court, treadmills and stairmasters will not be available during the outage. For more information, call 567-6672.

Purchase ski tickets
Ski season has officially begun. Buy your tickets before heading to the mountain, and avoid the lines by buying your tickets at the Outdoor Recreation and Information Travel and Tickets office located in Building 300, Room 133. Resorts are being added daily. Patriot Pass, Patriot Pass Plus and Liberty Pass are available now. Single day passes as well as single mountain season passes are also available.
