National Police Week Fallen Officer Motorcycle Ride
The 2016 Fallen Officer Motorcycle Ride will pass through Schriever Air Force Base at 9:45 a.m. Thursday. This event is conducted in support of fallen officers throughout our military as well as our civilian counterparts who made their last call.  The route will be escorted and reserved for the motorcade throughout its procession as it enters the West Gate, travels along Enoch Rd. and exits the North Gate.  Please come out to show your support.  Contact Master Sgt. Building 400 North passenger elevators out of service
The North passenger elevators in Building 400 will be taken out of service for refurbishment until June 17.  During this period, the South passenger elevator and freight elevators will be available for use.  For any questions, please contact Bryon Gohl at 567-6383.

Help needed at Ellicott Field Days
Ellicott Elementary will be hosting Field Days from 8:30 a.m. to noon Monday - Wednesday and is in need of volunteers. Monday will be K-1st grade, Tuesday will be 2nd and 3rd grade, and Wednesday will be 4th and 5th grade. Additionally, in the case of bad weather, the times and days will be noon to 3:30 p.m. Monday - Thursday. If interested in volunteering, contact Public Affairs at 567-5040.


A Walk Down Memory Lane
All are invited to participate in "A Walk Down Memory Lane" for the entire Schriever community to share and walk alongside one another as we remember lost loved ones 2 p.m. Thursday. The walk will circle the 1.5 mile loop just outside the indoor running track. This is a family friendly event, all are welcome to attend. There will be a balloon release to follow.

Chapel office offers RESt
Limited spots are available for the chapel-sponsored Financial Religious Education Stewardship program. This nine-week class will be held 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. every Thursday, starting June 2, at the Peterson Air Force Base Chapel in Rooms 10 and 11. To sign up, contact your Schriever Chapel at 567-3705.

Schriever housing offers family Christian fellowship
A family Bible study is held at the Tierra Vista Community Center 6:30 - 8 p.m. every Wednesday. Come join for inspiring worship, Bible study and prayer. Families are welcome. Childcare and separate kids' activities for 10 and under provided. For more info, call 567-3705.

Society opens door to military widows
The Society of Military Widows is open to widows of any branch of military service, regardless of the spouse’s rank. The Pikes Peak Chapter 15 of the Society of Military Widows meets the last Wednesday of the month at 10:30 a.m. at the Peterson Air Force Base club. Call 597-0492 or 591-9523 for more information.

Military Retirees Activities Office holds monthly luncheon
The Military Retiree Activities office holds a luncheon at noon the second Thursday of each month at the Peterson Air Force Base club, followed by its monthly council meeting at 2:30 p.m. in Building 350, Room 1206. The guest speaker for June 9 will be Col. Eric Dorminey who will present the 21st Space Wing mission. Call 556-7153 for more information.

Ellicott hosts summer recreation program
Ellicott School District 22 will be hosting a summer recreation program for all students ages 6 to 18 years that belong to the Ellicott/Schriever communities. The program will run June 20 - July 1, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Breakfast and lunch will be served.  Transportation to and from Schriever AFB will also be provided by School District 22.  This program is offered free of charge with minimal costs for field trip entrance fees. Total Force Leadership Development Program Event
The event will be held 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. May 26 in the Building 210 First Term Airman Classroom.
This program will deliver practical leadership lessons to the total force of Schriever Air Force Base using John Maxwell's award winning leadership curriculum via a facilitator. This seminar is part 2 of John Maxwell's, "Winning with People." The program is called TFLD because if we work together we should learn and grow together.  All Schriever AFB personnel are welcome; Airmen, NCO's, SNCO's, civilians, officers and contractors.
