This is the 22nd Space Operations Squadron emblem.  Each symbol in the emblem has a specific meaning.  What does the gray star above the Opinicus symbolize?  Bonus:  What is the translation of the squadron’s motto? The gray star represents the unit’s heritage and the past and present honors earned by the dedicated unit professionals. The motto “Conectens Caeli Terraque” translates to “Connecting the Heavens and the Earth.”
