Team Air Force wheelchair basketball coach Mark Shepeherd gathers the team around before their game against Team Marine Corps during the Department of Defense Warrior Games at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., June 3, 2018. Wheelchair basketball was developed by World War II U.S. veterans in 1945, and the sport was introduced on the global stage at the Rome 1960 Paralympic Games. Wheelchair basketball retains most major rules and scoring of basketball, but some rules have been modified with consideration for the wheelchair. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech Sgt.
