  • Pumpkin patch, activities providing sense of normalcy

    The Child Development Center’s pumpkin patch on Oct. 23 was the first family-involvement event since March. The coronavirus pandemic stymied numerous events at the 50th Force Support Squadron’s Child Development Center and stifled many programs offered its children.
  • 50th FSS to host pumpkin carving contest

    The 50th Force Support Squadron is scheduled to host a pumpkin carving contest Oct. 29, 2020, at Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado. Pumpkins can be picked up at the Child Development Center on Monday. Pumpkins must be dropped off at the Event Center between 2-5 p.m. Oct. 29. The contest will have multiple categories including ages 5-7, 8-12, 13-17, 18 and older, family and team. Prizes will be awarded for first through third place in all categories except for team, which will only have a first place winner. All entries in the event will be displayed in the 50th FSS’s Jack-O’-Lantern Jubilee, which takes place from 3-5 p.m. Oct. 30 at Bldg. 20. (U.S. Space Force graphic by Marcus Hill)
  • Brosseau, Smicklas win 15th annual half marathon

    The 50th Force Support Squadron held its 15th annual half marathon Oct. 2 with nearly 40 runners competing in the event.
  • Airmen test fitness during dry triathlon

    The 50th Force Support Squadron held its second annual dry-triathlon Sept. 25 at the base fitness center. Bradley Radabaugh, 2nd Space Operations Squadron, placed first on the men’s side with a time of 38 minutes, 7 seconds and Gail Smicklas, Schriever Air Force Base inspector general, finished first for the women at 45:05.
  • Education center upgrades will benefit Airmen, civilians

    The 50th Force Support Squadron’s Force Development Flight will soon have a revamped education center in Bldg. 210 to service Schriever education needs of Airmen and civilians.
