EMPLOYMENT CATEGORIES

Flexible Employment:
Flexible employees have work schedules dependent on the needs of the activity. Employees may work zero to 40 hours per week and are not guaranteed any hours. Flexible employees are eligible to receive:

• Awards
• Overtime pay
• Workers' compensation
• Unemployment compensation
• Within-grade increases (if applicable)
• Shift differential (if applicable)

Regular Employment: Regular employees are guaranteed 20 to 40 hours per week. In addition to the above benefits, regular employees receive:

• Health and life insurance
• Retirement plan
• 401(K)
• Holiday pay
• Leave (annual, sick, military, administrative, paternity and court)
• Sunday premium pay (if applicable)

Limited-Term Employment: Positions not expected to be indefinite are listed as "temporary" or "not to exceed." All benefits fitting the employment category are applicable to limited-term appointments.
